I am a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Jiawei Han’s Data Mining Group at CS@Illinois. I received my B.S. in Biological Science from Tsinghua University (THU), China. I received a Master in Biochemistry and a Master in Statistics from UIUC.
My research interests lie in data mining, biomedical text mining and BioNLP. My research goal is towards scalable, effective and minimally supervised information extraction from biomedical literature for biological knowledge discovery. My current research projects include distantly supervised domain-specific named entity recognition, meta-pattern-guided open relation extraction and claim mining in biomedical literature.
